The acronym LOC stands for liquid, oil, and cream. As you might have guessed by now, the LOC method is a moisturizing layering technique that entails hydrating the hair. This method requires applying a liquid or leave-in-conditioner such as water or a water-based product, then using oil to seal in the moisture after applying a cream product which prevents moisture loss. Water-based leave-in conditioners that are generally lightweight will absorb into the hair shaft to moisturize it. Subsequent to this, adding a penetrating hair oil will moisturize and as the sealant for your leave-in. The final step, the cream, will ensure to seal in the previous moisturizers. Step-by-Step Process of the LOC Method
Step One: Liquid or Leave-in-Conditioner
